05:57 am - Under the Bijou
I just posted a writeup of our latest StoryCards adventure in the StoryCards forums. This was the darkest StoryCards adventure I'd ever run, pitting vaudeville performers and patrons against ghouls and a demon. We had a lot of fun.

08:10 am - StoryCards Sessions at GenCon 2008
I've finally posted about our Thursday night StoryCards session at GenCon 2008 on the StoryCards forums. We had a great time!
I also posted a little bit about the Friday night session, set in post-apocalyptic Egypt. Maybe Scotto can fill in more details.

07:41 pm - Acton of Troy
Over on StoryCardsRPG.com I've written a tribute to my Amber Diceless Roleplaying character that died last night: Acton of Troy, who was inspired by a StoryCards reading.
I'd change to the StoryCards userpic, but my regular userpic is more appropriate for Acton.
09:37 am - StoryCards: The Store is Open!
After numerous delays and distractions, the Dogtown Games store is open! You too can now get your hands on your very own spiffy new StoryCards decks!
Not only that, but my wonderful wife has updated the StoryCards manual, with spiffy new hyperlinks, and artwork from the cards. It's beautiful! And you can download it free from the StoryCards home page.

08:44 am - And It's Off!
StoryCards is off to the printers.
We're paying extra to get proof sheets of the cards and tuckbox, to make sure the colors are coming out right, and then we're done. I'm a little anxious about the tuckboxes, because the samples we saw from the printer seemed a little sloppy, but the other options didn't seem better. Wish us luck, everyone.
At this point, assuming nothing gets royally screwed up, we should have decks for GenCon. Next steps: layout of the manual, and setting up the online store.
And a tremendous "thank you" to Karen for all the work she's done.

09:55 pm - First Draft Complete
I finally have completed what I consider the first complete draft of the StoryCards manual: sixty pages that took three years to write. Hopefully my next project will go faster.
If anyone would be interested in proofreading the manual and/or offering any sort of feedback, please let me know.

09:14 pm - StoryCardsRPG.com is Live!
Thanks to tremendous amounts of help from my good pal Scotto who installed the portal software, and my wonderful spouse who helped me today when she should have been studying for her upcoming EMT test, the StoryCards website is now live! Go bask in the awesomeness! Post something in the forums! At least go read through the FAQ, where you'll get to read an unformatted excerpt from the manual, and see some preliminary card images with Jeff Ward's artwork!
It's at StoryCardsRPG.com!

05:15 am - StoryCards Conventions
I've signed up to run a StoryCards event at The Black Road. One of the fields to fill out on the gamemaster form was "URL". Well, Scotto had already registered storycardsrpg.com for me, so I threw the current draft of the Introduction chapter from the rulebook up there for people to look at. (It's not pretty. It's just text and one information graphic at this point: it hasn't been handed over to my art director yet.)
If it looks interesting, you should know that Scotto and I have decided to run four StoryCards events at GenCon this year. We've been doing this in a tag-team fashion, where Scotto designs the adventure while I help people create characters: if anyone would like to help in one of those roles, that would be wonderful. (And just FYI, GenCon badge registration starts this upcoming Sunday.)
