Vikings and Knights and Egyptian Demons, Oh My!
Up on StoryCardsRPG.com, I've added a forum post about a recent StoryCards session. I'll try to post about last Friday's "Cowardly Monsters vs. Polynesian Tribesmen" session soon.

Crap, I am so sorry I've spaced reading the Story Cards manual... I read some and have been whisked away by the shuttle trip and reorg madness at work and other side distractions. Give me a deadline and I'll be more motivated to get through it, okay? Again, I'm really sorry!

I was hoping to have the final draft of the manual online by this Tuesday, the 19th, since I'm going to a convention the following week and wanted the players to have time to read. At the very latest, I'd like feedback by the 26th so I can at least update the manual I print to take with me to that convention.

It's okay you forgot, but I'd appreciate whatever comments you can offer.

A StoryCards scenario I'd like to see...

I've been wondering if a "country" scenario would work, like a grand problem facing the earth, and the world's superpowers must save the day. Each player represents a country. And then the countries have to work together to face some worldwide problem. Space race to Mars? Global warming? World War III? Pan-flu? Alien invasion?

I'm not exactly sure if the attributes would really work out, but I suspect they would. Just an average country would have an attribute of 2. Countries could have specialized skills and powers which would put them above other countries. They could even have a weakness.

Do you think something like that would work? In what other RPG system could you model countries? Not many!

Obligatory extra link to StoryCards!

Interesting idea. There's no reason why that shouldn't work just fine.

By the way...
